Music Mentorship
Experienced student musicians support younger musicians through practice, rehearsals, ensemble experiences, and community performances, both in person and online.
The reasoning is simple. A student who sat in the same chair three years ago can often explain a bow hold or an awkward shift better than anyone, because they remember exactly what made it hard. And a younger musician gets to see, up close and in person, what a few more years of steady practice actually looks like.
Sessions move between individual coaching, small sectionals, and full group rehearsal, and the relationship carries on outside the room, online between meetings, and side by side on stage when our younger members join a community performance.
Our First Session
Our first mentorship session brought members of every age into one room for an afternoon of violin and cello coaching: the program’s starting point, and the shape we plan to keep.

Join the Program
Mentorship runs alongside everything else we do, so members can take part whether or not they’re performing that month.
